We should balance out the time for our personal films and the school promotional meeting.

The French Club Event is canceled: an email is needed regarding the cancelation.

AMY: What we want in the film? “portray music,having fun while helping people.” FOCUS ON ROCK MUSIC, ACCOMPANIED WITH HELPING. to get people interested.

Start with a funny/comedic scene, solemn towards the end.

- Opening doors to see instruments.

THANAKRIT: Song Empty (slow). Footage of the Si Chua charity at the first part.We show that we are going to use music to help.

Start off watching TV, knowing that people are suffering but no one’s helping. Maybe enter into the act of helping.

Maybe first part should be hyper, two focus.

JUSTINE: film melancholy sound. Then…shows people looking for the music. Finds the band playing, transition to Word-Picture, with the studio version behind.

This is the first meeting note on our movie club website.

From now on, track meeting notes so that you don’t miss any important points!

1) Movie Club Room (B208)

- Our room is currently being used by CSC and poetry class, so that’s why we are temporarily using Mr. Weber’s 7D homeroom as our meeting room. However, we are now trying our best to clean and decorate our room as soon as possible. Once the room becomes available, according to our dear Director, we are going to to put whiteboard, DVD player, probably a TV, and even sofa !!! If you have any suggestion on decorating our club room, feel free to share your idea~
2) Club T-Shirt

- As a symbol of existence of our glorious club (sounds a bit lyk propoganda…), the heads of movie club have decided to make our own club T-Shirt. We took democratic vote during the meeting: the club’s T-shirt color would be black~~~ If you have any objection or suggestion on designing the T-shirt, talk to any of the heads~~
3) Short Play

- Last year, we had a lot of technical difficulties to finish our very first movie “If I speak”
So instead of focusing on finishing one big movie, we have changed our direction to work on 3~5 minute movies for efficiency and saving time. For this 3 day holiday, we’ll be working on filming a short play to show to the whole high school students on upcoming high school assembly. If we have something prepared later in the year, we may look forward to participating short film festival, City & Me. It is a great opportunity to our movie club to show what we are capable of in front of international school students across China!

The film is planned to show eight expressions in humorous ways. The expressions include happiness, sadness, sarcasm, scariness, silliness, destruction, romance, and anger. Apart from scariness, destruction, romance, and anger, the other expressions have been assigned. You may expand ideas on any aspect or help acting these expressions. This is our recruitment film!

4) Recruting new members

- Due to departure of our memebers from last year, we need to recruit as many new people to fill in the gap. Please do give any of your ideas of attracting new members. So far, we have decided to make a commercial film and posters around the school. As long as it’s appropriate and rational, you can have the opportunity to show your human resource skills. THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF!!!

5) Attendance

- Last year, a lot of people occasionally didn’t show up to club meetings and shootings without notification. In order to get full credit, YOU MUST ATTEND EVERY CLUB MEETING. You must notify your absence prior to the meeting or tell us a reasonable excuse. Every club and shooting attendance will be recorded by the Secretary of the movie club.
