I know Yvette already sent an email to all saying “Thank you”, but I realised that as a VP, I need to write something about it too.

The Sports Day fundraiser, as you all know, was a great success. We earned in the total 1615 RMB. Along with 715 that we earned last year’s White Valentine’s Day event, our fund is now over 2300 RMB. That’s a lot, if you ask me.

Thank you for all who participated in this event. You guys all did great, and without you guys the sports day would be such a mess (Yvette didn’t say it so I did )

Alright, we will need to start planning for the next fundraiser. Any ideas?

It is time to think about the first fundraising event. I spent days trying to think of ideas that would not get rejected from Yvette. *cough*

Anyway, special thanks to Mr. D and Peter (a friend of mine. Really), I came up with a few ideas:

• Car wash
• - Pro: Fun with water! Con: Low Income
• Movie Night
• - Pro: High income with admission fee, popcorn, etc. Con: Not Original. MUN Club did it last year
• Video Game Competition
• - Pro: High income & FUN. Con: Needs a game console, might be harder to get permission from Mr. Shall
• Candy Gram
• - Pro: none. Con: Not original, lots of clubs might be doing the same thing.
• Selling stuff on Sports Day (As Ethan suggested, we might sell T-shirts, food, etc.)
• - Pro: High income + High traffic/visits. Con: none.

I am welcome to suggestions, feel free to tell me any of your ideas!

At the meanwhile, we might also be planning to write letters to teachers asking for donation. However, this is undecided.
