SMIC Movie Industry Club

Hey guys,

So we just had our meeting today. I am really some of you missed out, but the meeting notes will be posted on the website shortly. In this Newsletter Issue, it will be all about Sports Day Fundraising! (Oh and of course, the upcoming t-shirts)

About Sports Day Fundraising, we have decided to divide you guys into different stands – McDonald Stand, KFC Stand, and Sushi Stand, each having a different leader and jobs

McDonalds Stand
Leader – Peter Zhang
Members – Daesun, Jonathan, Micahel T, Thanakrit , Kelvin, Justine, Jephanie, Joyce

Korean Stand
Leader – Paul Choi
Members – Yin, Shirley, Cathy, Dongho, Jason, Simon, Eunjin, Yoonjoo

Sushi Stand
Leader – Ethan Yang
Members – Daisy, Christie, Stephany, Felicia, Nathan, Vera

Each stand will have the following people:
- Selling stuff
- Advertising for it (eg. shouting on the street “COME AND BUY OUR FOOD” or something like that)
- Trays (Carrying out food on a tray to other people to sell)
- Collecting Money

Before the Sports Day, we also need to get a few things done:
- Posters + Price Lists – contact Peter Zhang
- Banners – contact Yin
- Cards – contact Ethan Yang
If you want to help out in the categories above, feel free to contact those people.

For Korean + Sushi Stands:
Your Group Leader will be organizing a meeting to discuss about which jobs you are doing, and also the price list. This meeting is to be held during this week and give the results of it to Peter Zhang at latest Friday Night.

McDonald Stands:
You will have a group meeting once we have settled the sponsorship from McDonalds. You will be updated on that ASAP.

Attendance to these meetings is required.

Next, we will be talking about our T-Shirts. As mentioned in the meeting, we will all be wearing T-shirts that we will get in the next… few days. I am pretty sure you have been told that you will need to pay 10 kuai for them. However, due to our miscalculation, we found that 10 kuai is not enough for them. We really apologize to the inconvienience.

So, if you can give 20 kuai to Ethan Yang by next Wednesday, we would really appreciate it.
