It is time to think about the first fundraising event. I spent days trying to think of ideas that would not get rejected from Yvette. *cough*
Anyway, special thanks to Mr. D and Peter (a friend of mine. Really), I came up with a few ideas:
- Car wash
- - Pro: Fun with water! Con: Low Income
- Movie Night
- - Pro: High income with admission fee, popcorn, etc. Con: Not Original. MUN Club did it last year
- Video Game Competition
- - Pro: High income & FUN. Con: Needs a game console, might be harder to get permission from Mr. Shall
- Candy Gram
- - Pro: none. Con: Not original, lots of clubs might be doing the same thing.
- Selling stuff on Sports Day (As Ethan suggested, we might sell T-shirts, food, etc.)
- - Pro: High income + High traffic/visits. Con: none.
I am welcome to suggestions, feel free to tell me any of your ideas!
At the meanwhile, we might also be planning to write letters to teachers asking for donation. However, this is undecided.

car washes are awesome in america….but not here (unless u get taxi drivers or sth…lmao xD) r we gonna do the valentines thing again? (or is it too complicated?) perhaps we can do sth halloween related…?
Well, Mr. D suggested we wash parents’ cars… I mean, near 3:30, there are TONNES of cars outside, aren’t there?
I think the only thing related to halloween would be candygrams… which will be obviously taken by other clubs.

Oh eh… valentine… yeah, let’s not worry about it until later. There is nothing wrong with Helloween candy and stuff, but it is just not.. original
and it’s nothing exciting either =( and i hate organizing complicated stuffs, like the valentines one. It drove me crazy…i would prefer something fast and easy to earn money, like selling stuffs.
movie night will be super easy, but it’s kind of a boring activity.
If we have opportunity to do fundraising, we should so something we can have fun with. =)

There is a site with with fundraising ideas… Actually, there are more than hundreds of sites like that. But they are always advertising for fundraising services they provide, like having eMagazines, hosting blogs, etc. (with their service)
So yeah.. I didn’t find it realy useful.

Halloween is coming in 3 weeks, and we can at most film a 10 mins short film out of the 3 weeks. But then, who would waste money to buy a 10 min short film on a DVD?
