SMIC Movie Industry Club

On Tuesday, September 30, from 1 pmto 4 pm, the movie club has decided to gather all Assistant Directors and any other peple interested to come and help create the ranking poster, which basically is a poster showing the position of each and one of the members. The whole time will be consisted of cutting up paper, gluing paper, decorating paper, paper…paper…paper…

Dude, I just can’t describe the feeling I had when I found Celtx. It is just SO perfect for Movie Production!

This is Celtx’s website – http://www.celtx.com. Man, just look at the design! Isn’t it so great?

So what does Celtx really do? It has a screenplay writer, storyboard, Catalog (keeps track of all actors, props, etc.), production schedule, and lots of other stuff. Let me show you a few screenshots:

Basically Filmmaking has 5 stages:

• Development – Screenwritor, Director
• Pre-Production – Director
• Production – AD, Actor, Cameraman, Director
• Post-Production – Editor, Director
• Release – EVERYONE!

Recently, some of the members in the club has been filming the Recruitment Film, which is going to be shown at tomorrow’s HighSchool Assembly, and then Middle School Assembly after the holidays.

- Project finished on 23 September
- Release: 24 September 8:00 – 8:15 High School Assembly, and 7 October 8:00 – 8:15 Middle School Assembly

Hi everyone!

I’ve heard that some of you guys have been wondering when’s our next meeting going to be and what are the plans for these days. So, here’s it!

First of all, we are working on the recruitment film that is due on next wednesday! (Cuz we needa display it to the whole high skul during morning assembly) My crew (yes, my lovely crew) has been working quite hard to make everything together=D If you have signed up as actor, cameraman, scriptwriter, or editor, we will contact you these days for help (if we need any). So don’t panic that you seemed to have nothing to do yet!
